Managing Partner
Robert Gruber represents clients across a wide range of industries in trust & estate, intellectual property, breach of contract, securities, entertainment, and partnership disputes. Prior to co-founding Reiter Gruber, Mr. Gruber practiced at the international law firm of Greenberg Traurig, LLP and at Glancy Prongay & Murray, LLP. At his prior firms, Mr. Gruber obtained a multi-million dollar arbitration award (including over $1 million in sanctions) on behalf of a private equity fund, obtained removal of the trustees of a $400 million dollar trust, secured multiple favorable settlements on behalf of clients in securities and consumer class actions, and successfully represented clients in multi-million-dollar suits in state court, federal court, and private arbitration. Mr. Gruber has also fought to block removal proceedings and obtain legal immigrant status for a variety of pro-bono clients.
Mr. Gruber obtained his B.A. from Yale University and his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, where he was the Managing Articles Editor for the Journal of Law and Technology. At Yale, he was a pitcher on the varsity baseball team and was honored as an Academic All-American.
Mr. Gruber holds several National Championship titles – and one World Championship title – in model airplane precision stunt flying. He is currently pursuing a private pilot certificate.
Mr. Gruber is licensed to practice in California and is admitted before the Ninth Circuit as well as the United States District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California.
