Charlie Reiter represents plaintiffs and defendants across a range of industries in commercial and business litigation, employment, breach of contract, securities, personal injury, consumer and class action disputes. Mr. Reiter has successfully represented numerous companies in high-stakes court actions as well as arbitrations, securing favorable resolutions for his clients. Prior to co-founding Reiter Gruber, Mr. Reiter practiced at the international law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. At Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, Mr. Reiter won a $17.2 million judgment on behalf of an international corporation in Los Angeles Superior Court, secured multiple favorable settlements on behalf of clients in employment, consumer, and securities class actions, and successfully represented clients in multi-million-dollar suits in state and federal court as well as in arbitration. Mr. Reiter also counseled the HR and legal departments of national corporations on employment and compliance matters and successfully defended a private equity firm in an SEC investigation. Mr. Reiter has also represented clients on a pro-bono basis in immigration, elder abuse, and related tort actions.
Mr. Reiter graduated from the UCLA School of Law, where he received the Masin Family Academic Excellence Award. Before attending UCLA Law, Mr. Reiter played professional soccer in the United States. Mr. Reiter obtained his B.A. in Political Science from Davidson College, where he played Division I soccer and was named First-Team Academic All-American, First-Team All-Region and All-Conference, and Conference Player of the Year. Mr. Reiter also received the Tommy Peters Award, which is Davidson’s highest honor for a student-athlete.
Mr. Reiter is licensed to practice in California and is admitted before the Ninth Circuit as well as the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of California.
